My miracle began over seven or eight years ago. Now I know most stories don't start out telling about a miracle, but this is no ordinary story. I had gone on a retreat in Des Moines, Iowa with my girl friend Lou, .. Lou: i can't believe we are finally getting away I'm so excited!" Lou is a bubblely five foot two strawberry blonde, her hair is cut short and she seems to have endless energy. unlike me, I'm a little over six foot tall, very thin, and it seems my legs always want to go one way while my upper body goes another. We where driving Lou,s car, it was more dependable then mine. I am so glad your aunt is seliing her car to me. She is unable to drive it anymore and was more then glad to sell it to you at such a great savings as she knew it would be in good hands. We planned on going to the conference and then at the end of the weekend Lou would drive her car back to her home in Oelwien while i drove my new to me car back to my home in Davenport. Lou was such a great friend. we had known each other for over 15 years. We had been inseparatable when we where younger and over the years even with distance our friendship continued to grow. Getting together was a treat and no matter how much time had passed it seemed we were able to pick up our conversation right where we had left off.
Boy, that speaker was awesome wasn't she? Said Lou as she was putting on her pink and red floral pajamas. She sure was! I can't believe our luck! Getting front row seating at check in was truly God working in our lifes! You can say that again. i said smiling while i was brushing my long dark hair. Marie, do you believe in miracles? Lou looked at me very seriously. Well... I sometimes think i do. But other times i"m just not sure. my mind has a hard time wrapping around the whole idea that God loves us that much that He gave His only son for us. To save us from death you know sometimes i think i believe all that stuff just in case. You know just in case it is all true. Yah I know what you mean. Lets put it to prayer and talk about it more tomarrow I'm bushed!
